CONCEPT
Environment refers to the biotic and abiotic components that surround us. Conservation of environment is imperative for the sustenance of living organisms on the earth. Forests cover roughly one third of the world’s land area and provide vital environmental services such as climate regulation, soil protection and water management. They also produce food and raw materials, which sustain hundreds of millions of people and support economies. Rampant industrialization and urbanization have caused unprecedented damage to forest thereby adversely affecting the wildlife population. To combat this menace, forest management is essential. Forest management is the process of protecting and maintaining a forested area. It often involves evaluating the soil, trees and vegetation within a forest ecosystem and performing a variety of complex tasks to improve land management practices.
Against this backdrop the 10th International Conference on Ecology and Environment has been orchestrated during 18-19-20 September, 2024 at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya campus, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India on “Forest and Environmental Management towards Sustainable Development”.
The conference will be an ideal forum to disseminate information, exchange and share ideas among the erudite personalities, environmentalists, academicians and research scholars on different aspects of environment and forest management needed for sustainable development.
The Conference will cover a wide range of topics, highlighting numerical and experimental results, as well as new technologies in the fields of Environment, Forest and Sustainable Development.
The three days’ conference will comprise of oral and poster sessions, plenary and keynote speeches.
